The Njinikom Council is the municipal administration or local authority of Njinikom Sub-Division in Boyo Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.

The Njinkom Council was created by Presidential No 92/321 of 25/11/1993 and went operational in 1996. The Council went operational in 1996 and till date has had four Mayors; Mr. Wainbah Donatus ,  Mr. Ngong David Chiatoh, Mr. Chah Terence Bam and the present Mayor YONG Samuel LOH. He is deputized by a 1st and 2nd Deputized being Mr. OGUM Benard and Mrs Jenet BI GAM respectively.

Njinikom Municipality is made up of 16 villages with 75 quarters. Of this number, 5 have been carved to make up the Council’s Urban Space. The 5 villages in question are: Njinikom Central which has 5 quarters, Isailah with 5 quarters, Balikumato which possesses 6 quarters, Wobong Ikui with 5 quarters, and Wobong Itin having 6 quarters.

It is situated about 57.70 km from Bamenda. The Njinikom sub Division is found between latitude 6o20’ and 6o30’ North and between longitude 10o11’ and 10o30’ East and is surrounded by the Fundong and Belo subdivisions to the north, south, west and east. The entire sub division covers a surface area about 173 square kilometres.
